Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, originally uploaded by ValerieMorrisonPhotography.com.visited the Fosterfields Living Historical Farm today. it’s only 30 minutes from home and it felt like we were in a different state. enjoyed it.
i thought it was funny that the only animal we got to pet was a cat, i wanted to ride a horse.
this is an HDR photo. too bad i’m not good with photoshop or i could do something with the boring sky. i may revisit this photo when i have time to learn how to fix it.

OMG..this looks like a picture perfect postcard, it’s so beautiful!
It evokes a feeling of such peace and tranquility.
I feel like I’m there!
Don’t you just love living in the north east? There’s such an abundant diversity in our terrain.
” thought it was funny that the only animal we got to pet was a cat, i wanted to ride a horse.”
Oh, how funny! A cat! No horses or cows?
Personally, I love the photo just as it is. The sky gives the image a really neat gray effect.
So talented you are!

P.S. I just stopped by your other photography website. LOVED it!
yes, i was very surprised that there was a farm so close to home. must visit again. yeah there were other animals, but none we could pet.
not a fan of this sky, i still want to change it a bit.
thanks ron.
Beautiful photo, Valerie! I don’t particularly, like farms, but you make this look so inviting.
“thought it was funny that the only animal we got to pet was a cat, i wanted to ride a horse.”
That IS hilarious!
you mean you don’t love the smell of animal manure?
yeah i thought it was pretty funny the cat was the only animal available for petting. it was the friendliest cat i’ve ever met.
Didn’t even notice the sky … I was too interested in the wonderful brick color and all the z’s!
Nice photo.
thanks mary!
actually i was able to do something with the sky in photoshop. it feels wrong though because it wasn’t the actual sky i photographed on that day, but taken from one of my other photographs.
there’s a cloud of shame hanging over my head because of it, but as soon as the buyer pays me for this photo, i’m sure it will subside until the money is spent. then i can go back to hanging my head in shame.
Didn’t even notice the sky … I was too interested in the wonderful brick color and all the z’s!
Nice photo.
