Oh boy do I miss arms like that. After that lady hit me on the interstate, my true lifting days stopped. 😦 It isn’t worth rupturing a disc… but it is killing me! Beautiful photo!

katherine, oh yikes and pooh on that lady for hitting you. i love working out (when i can – i have back disc issues too) and lifting weights. feels yummy. thanks!

  2. You GO, girl!

And I agree with Pat….you look GREAT! 🙂

I too have two 10 pound weights I exercise with. Ten pounds seems to be just enough to tone my arms, without it being too much of a strain on my joints. I will sometimes put on some good music and dance around my apartment, jiving with the weights in my hands – HA!

Great shot, Val! Love the black and white!

bonjour, ron. awh thanks for saying so. my 10s are always near me so i usually pick them up first for quick sets. they are heavy mostly for my tricep work, which means i need to do more tricep work, or something. thanks, friend.

  3. Like Katherine, I had to give up weightlifting. Not because I was in a horrible, disfiguring accident, but because I’m too wimpy and my back killed me.

I like this photo a lot. It’s well composed and lit, and you caught the muscles at just the right moment of tension to convey what’s going on. Also, I appreciate a nice set of guns.

wow, we all have back problems. i just can’t give it up, i rather lighten my load and do more reps. my body needs exercise and weight training. i’m unhappy without the two, sadly. thanks.

Once you started exercise like this and have some muscle, it’s really cool. To start it is difficult with lots of fat. Great you are doing it and keeping shape. Cool pic too!

    • v says:

coco, yes, it is hard to start with fat…that has to be shed first and i’m always working on that because i have….well fat. then the toning up can begin. thanks.

aren’t you sweeter than sweet! hold up, i’m trying to get to your flat stomach status. i’ve seen you in real life and you’re fabulous. thanks girlfriend!

    • v says:

thanks a bunch, cheryl. i was really too lazy to find a better background and i’m never happy with the lighting – but thank you.
