day 50 – candlelight inn

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

nothing interesting happened today. i went to bed late last night and woke up later than usual this morning. i limped through a workout, ate breakfast, showered and then made my way to work.

came home briefly during my lunch hour and then it started to rain. not a fan of the rain, but i was happy for the free car wash. the rain, however, does make for a wonderful evening of whatever by candlelight.

  1. Okay, when we see each other the next time, you have to explain to me how to take a photo of a burning candle because anytime I take one, the candlelight comes out blurry 😦

    AWESOME shot, Val! It’s gorgeous!

You’re right, because I have candles (tea lights) burning in my apartment right now and it gives a wonderful cozy feeling to a rainy and dreary day.

Enjoy the rest of your evening, girl!

hmmm. when i can, i use my tripod and a remote to avoid camera shake. other than that, i no no. well fast shutter speed, but it doesn’t apply here. thanks ron. yes, candles and the still of the night makes for a happy v.

okay, i confess: i tried to click on that X under your comment. i was reading it from my phone. duh.

  2. Thanks for letting me know how you took this shot, Val! I really need to get a tripod, especially for shots with a fast or slow shutter speed because no matter how still I hold the camera…I still end up with shaky look.
