day 88 – dilapidated

dilapidated

today really was a good friday, i had the day off from work and appreciated the rest. i went for a walk this morning, for about an hour, and stumbled upon this beauty.

i love the architecture and it looks like it was once a beautiful home with spacious rooms and an abundance of window sunlight. i would love to go inside and have a look around, but doubt the floor could hold my weight. too bad the owners didn’t take care of it.

later i was treated to a buffet lunch, i didn’t feel like going, but i can’t pass up a free meal. the food was okay, but i enjoyed the dessert the most.  came home and took a yummy two-hour nap and did little else for the rest of the day.

OMG, when the image first loaded I though it was a haunted house in a scary movie!

Meeeeeee too! I love the old architecture, and you’re right…I bet it was a beauty at one time. There is something about old, rundown homes that intrigue me. Like, wondering WHO lived there and WHAT happened to them. Old homes seem to tell a story.

Glad you had the day off and enjoyed yourself, girl!

    Have a super weekend!

thanks, ron. it does look a wee bit haunted. i was too scared to say it.

i love, well not love, but i love rundown homes. some of them are a photographer’s dream, especially if there’s still furniture in there, to photograph. it’s really a beautiful house, has a lot of personality and detail. this house does not fit the area it was in. i don’t think there is another house like it around. it’s weird.

thanks. hope you had a good weekend too.

Speak on it!
