day 346 – don

don

this is don and he owns and works in the cafeteria at my job.  this morning, as he does every year he hosted a “thank you” breakfast for all the workers in the building.  he is super sweet and not just because he lets me eat for cheap whenever i buy something there.  it’s actually cheaper for me to eat out than to bring lunch. i try not to take advantage of his kindness by giving him more money than he asks, but sometimes he won’t take it.  so i’ll be stopping by the liquor store soon to buy him a few bottles of red wine.

Aw Val, Don sounds like such a sweet, good guy!

And I think it’s awesome that you have a cafeteria where you work, so you don’t have go outside to get your lunch, Gosh, I wish we had that where I worked. And hey, those hash browns and scrambled eggs look delish!

And I bet he’ll LOVE that!

    You’re a sweet, good gal!

ron, don is the sweetest person. i said to him, shouldn’t we be taking YOU out to breakfast. he was like, yeah, i like that.

i’ll find him something on monday. i have to go to your blog and see what you recommend. let me not forget, i’m old.

  2. That looks fabulous! How nice that he has a thank you breakfast. I’ve also found that making food ‘homemade’ costs more than buying it out sometimes!

it was yummy bijoux. i can get protein, salad and a starch for 2.00. no way i can get that by making my own food at home. sometimes i will bring leftovers, but i don’t mind spending 2 dollars for what i get. 10 a week is not bad at all. i don’t eat a lot of food, but would bankrupt him if he owned a bakery. 😉

Speak on it!
